FAQs

• Can I send an alert to recipients who do not have access to Cikisi?

  Yes, you just need to register these recipients in the Cikisi platform as receivers.

• Do all the recipients of my alert have to belong to my organisation?

  No. You can notify people outside your organisation and Cikisi does not impose recipients with the same email address (example: @mycompany.com)

• Is it possible to have fewer items in the email notifications than in the Cikisi platform?

  Yes, either because Cikisi notifications contain a maximum number of articles per section. Or because some articles have not been notified because of their date (see selection mode in the manual). Or because some similar articles have been grouped together in one section of the alert. Or because some items have been hidden in some sections because they already appear in other sections.

• What time zone does Cikisi use for sending alerts?

  All time settings in Cikisi are relative to the GMT time zone

• What are the main differences between Cikisi Alerts and Google Alerts?

  Cikisi alerts can be linked to several saved searches and, unlike Google, these searches can be linked to targeted sources and based on very complex queries (Boolean queries involving concepts, searches based on named entities or geographical coordinates, etc.).
