Import items/documents

User Role: Administrator, Explorer Duration: 10 min Objective: Import articles/documents to expand your Cikisi library

Cikisi allows you not only to consult the items collected by our robots but also to add an item/document that you find interesting that is not in it.

Thanks to My Imported Items, you can add and consult items that you have imported yourself.

There are two ways to do this:

  1. Create an item
    • Import an item from its URL:

Simply by copying and pasting the URL of the item, Cikisi will recognize and retrieve the content (title, publication date, image, content ...)

    • Create an item/document with "Create Item from Scratch":

Create an item by structuring it from start to finish, by entering the fields indicated by the form that is displayed.

          Remarks :

      • Image:
        • Accepted formats are: .png .jpg .jpeg .webp
      • Attached documents :
        • Imported documents size < 20MB.
      • Please note that the title, publication date, content and original item URL fields are REQUIRED,Importing an Excel file
  2. Import an Excel file :

Import a set of items from an Excel file:

- Fill an Excel file with columns title, publication date, image, description, author, content, original URL ...

Some precisions about adding items in bulk from an Excel file:

  • You have to fill in the columns only from A to Z, Cikisi does not take into account the columns starting from AA.
  • The item MUST have a title, a content and a date in dd/mm/yy format.
  • Every item MUST be with the corresponding URL otherwise you will have either an error when adding or incomplete items (and therefore difficulty when adding to collections or alerts ...)

Note :

  • the image formats accepted by Cikisi are: .png .jpg .jpeg .webp

You can then access to all your created items/documents on My created items and share them with your colleagues by putting them in collections.
